The Indonesian Embassy In Phnom Penh Will Present "Indonesian Night Market" At Chaktomuk Walk Street Phnom Penh
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh will present the richness of Indonesian culinary culture and flavors to Phnom Penh through the "Phsaar Reatrei Indonesia" activity or "Indonesian Night Market" at the famous pedestrian location at Phnom Penh, Chaktomuk Walk Street on the weekend in mid-November 2025.
The Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Santo Darmosumarto, conveyed the plan for the activity in a meeting with the Governor of Phnom Penh Khuong Sreng.
Ambassador Santo praised the Chaktomuk Walk Street program, which has been an attraction for visitors from various ages, home countries, and other backgrounds to be able to enjoy the beauty and vibrant nightlife at Phnom Penh on weekends.
Ambassador Santo explained that the plan to organize the Phasaar Reatrei Indonesia at that location reflected Indonesia's commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
"We are inspired by the diversity and excitement shown by Chaktomuk Walk Street," said Ambassador Santo, launching a statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh November 1.
"We want to promote interaction between communities, as well as show off Indonesian culture, traditions and creativity with an open and full of joy," he added.
The plan is for various interesting activities and performances to be presented in Phsaar Reateri Indonesia, including traditional dances, musical performances, and various Indonesian dishes. Several Indonesian products that are widely known in Cambodia will also be available for purchase by visitors.

This activity is expected to be able to follow the success of the Indonesian Sousdey, which is the largest Indonesian product exhibition in Cambodia which was previously held in June.
Meanwhile, Governor Khuong Sreng warmly welcomed and supported the Indonesian Embassy's plan, stressing that Chaktomuk Walk Street which is held every weekend has a special purpose so that all visitors, including foreign tourists, can feel the friendliness and harmony of the Cambodian people.
