Children's Tennis Festival, Teaching Sportivity And Team Cooperation From An Early Age
JAKARTA The sports festival for children will be held again this year with the aim of providing a learning experience as well as fostering self-confidence and sportsmanship.
This activity focuses on tennis tournaments for participants under 12 years of age as well as being an observational event for children who want to see firsthand positive examples from peers who have excelled at the national level.
According to Stefanny Anggie, Marketing Manager of POIPOI Snack, this year's event is the second year of the festival and the third tennis tournament being held.
This pre-Launch event is part of the POIPOI ORCA Junior Festival 2025 entitled "Be POIwerful, Be Champion". This event was held on Saturday, November 1 to Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Ancol Tennis Warehouse.
"The thing that distinguishes this tournament from the previous one is that we separate children who already have national achievements from those who have not. But we still invite those who excel so that other participants can see and learn from them," Stefanny explained when met at Ancol Tennis Warehouse, Pademangan, North Jakarta, Saturday, November 1, 2025.
This festival is divided into three age categories to ensure activities are in accordance with participant abilities and experience.
- Red Category (48 years)
A fun tennis game festival.
- Orange Category (7' 9 years)
The two-player team competition (2 single & 1 double) with a 10-point tie-break score format.
- Green Category (1012 years)
Two-player team competition (2 single & 1 double) with first to 4 games format, no-ad.
We support all sports, because our vision is to support children so that they can excel according to their interests and talents. We are currently focusing on tennis, but it is planned to be developed into other sports in the following years," added Stefanny.
This tournament also involves collaboration with various clubs and schools, but remains open to the public.
Even though participants come from clubs, anyone can watch and join. The goal is that children can experience competing in a healthy manner, "explained Stefanny.

More than just competition, this festival emphasizes the development of children's character through sports.
We want children to build confidence and sportsmanship. Prizes such as medals or trophies are just bonuses. But the most important thing is their experience of learning, processing, and daring to appear on the field," said Stefanny.
This activity also includes education about teamwork, game strategy, and direct learning through observation of more experienced players.
So far, the festival has been held in Jakarta, but the organizers are considering opening up similar opportunities in other cities in the future.
"There are plans to expand into other cities, but we will coordinate everything with the team. The point is we want more children to feel this positive experience." Stefanny said.
This festival is an important forum for children to get to know the world of sports in a fun way, as well as instill positive values from an early age, including courage, self-confidence, and sportsmanship.
