Prabowo Wants APEC To Realize Inclusive Growth: No Country Has Disadvantaged Economy
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that no country should be left behind in efforts to realize the economic growth of an inclusive and sustainable Asia-Pacific region. The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) must play a role in ensuring this condition.
This was conveyed by Prabowo while attending the APEC 2025 Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, Friday, October 31 local time.
"APEC must ensure that trade and investment benefits reach all parties so that no economy is left behind," Prabowo said in his speech.

Indonesia is also confirmed to be committed to a multilateral regulatory trading system based on WTO as the core to ensure fair competition.
In the forum, Prabowo talked about various challenges such as smuggling, fraud, money laundering, trafficking in persons, and narcotics as a threat. If not resolved, this condition could damage the future of APEC's country's economy.
"We cannot overcome this danger alone. We must work together multilaterally, especially in the face of smuggling, fraud, money laundering, trafficking in persons, and narcotics that threaten our economy's future," said the former Indonesian Minister of Defense.
Closing his statement, Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia's readiness is a liaison and equalizer of interest. "APEC must ensure progress for all," he concluded.
