Polda Metro Deploys 1,500 Police To Secure BLACKPINK Concert At GBK
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya deployed as many as 1,500 personnel to secure thegirl band concert from South Korea BLACKPINK which was held on Saturday and Sunday (2/11) at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), Jakarta.
"Prepared 1,500 personnel, with details, Polda Metro Jaya as many as 1,243 personnel, Polres Metro Central Jakarta 132 personnel, TNI (BKO) 35 personnel and DKI Regional Government 90 personnel," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 1.
He explained that security is divided into eight spectator entrance zones, including the VIP and VVIP zones for invited guests and artists.
"Security also includes areas around GBK, spectator entrances, parking areas, and artist inn hotels," said Budi.
As part of the standard security for international activities, he continued, the Jibom Unit (Bom Disposal) together with K-9 will sterilize the stadium area before the concert starts to ensure that all areas are free from suspicious objects and safe to use.
"In addition, all personnel in the field are prohibited from carrying firearms, tear gas or sharp weapons, as a form of service commitment that prioritizes safety and a persuasive approach to the community," said Budi.

BLACKPINK returned to Jakarta and enlivened the magnificent stage at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) on November 1, 2025.
The concert, titled '2025 World Tour in Jakarta', became one of the largest international music agendas in the country this year.
