JAKARTA - Jabodebek LRT users can now use a new payment method through the QRIS Tap feature starting October 30, 2025.
The payment method makes it easier to access travel with the Jabodebek LRT.
The Executive Vice President of the Jabodebek LRT, Mochamad Purnomosidi, said that the addition of the QRIS Tap feature as a new payment method is a form of innovation for the Jabodebek LRT in providing convenience and expanding payment options for users.
"We continue to strive to provide convenience for all users," said Purnomosidi in an official statement, Friday, October 31.
Through this service, said Purnomosidi, users can make transactions faster and practically only by bringing mobile devices closer to the ticketing gate of the station.
Purnomosidi said the QRIS Tap feature can be used by mobile device users with an Android operating system that has the Near Field Communication (NFC) feature, both through banking applications and digital wallets that already support QRIS Tap.
"This payment method can be used at no additional cost to users," he said.
Currently, continued Purnomosidi, there are 14 Payment Services Providers (issuers) who have supported the use of QRIS Tap for the payment method for Jabodebek LRT services, both from banks and digital wallet service providers, so users have more options according to their needs.
"The addition of this feature strengthens the commitment of the Jabodebek LRT in supporting the national digital payment system and provides a more flexible, safe and comfortable mobility experience for all users," he said.
During the period January to September 2025, the payment method most widely used by Jabodebek LRT users was still dominated by electronic money cards of 86.37 percent.
