Having Two Gadgets Is A Natural Thing, This Is The Reason
JAKARTA - A modern fast lifestyle, gadgets are now no longer just a means of communication, but part of self-identity and the way a person undergoes daily activities.
Almost every aspect of life, work, learning, and socializing is now connected through digital devices. No wonder the trend of buying gadgets continues to increase, even when economic conditions make many people more selective in shopping.
This phenomenon is clearly seen in Digiplus outlets, which are now popular destinations for gadget lovers in the country. Head of Marketing MAPTECH for Digiplus, Dwita Satyanti, said the need for gadgets has now shifted from luxury goods to primary needs.
"It seems that it is impossible for everyone to have a gadget," said Dwita on the sidelines of the Grand Opening Digiplus Mall Kelapa Gading Jakarta, recently.
He explained, since the pandemic, the role of gadgets has become wider not only for communication, but also for productivity to children's learning activities. Therefore, this gadget outlet presents various choices of devices with various price ranges, ranging from Rp. 1 million to premium classes, so that all circles can find gadgets according to their needs and abilities.
The ease of the payment system is also an important factor in increasing buying interest. Now people no longer need to depend on cash or credit cards, because the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option provides new flexibility for consumers. This also contributes to sales growth which remains positive in the midst of a dynamic economic situation.
"Surprisingly, the potential continues to grow," said West Digiplus Head of Operations, Soni Chandra Thawab, on the same occasion.

According to Soni, the behavior of gadget consumers is now also increasingly diverse. There are those who focus more on functionality to support work, and some choose based on design and aesthetics.
"Now all brands are also competing to present different products, some are folding, some are ultra thin, even new colors," he explained.
Many have become commonplace for urban communities today, most people now even have two different gadgets. One is for professional affairs, and the other is for personal needs such as photography, social media, or gaming.
This suggests gadgets have become an important part of a digital lifestyle that not only supports activities, but also expresses personality.
Currently, Digiplus already has more than 86 outlets throughout Indonesia, including branches in Makassar, Batam, and Kendari, with a target of 90 locations by the end of 2025.
This expansion shows the high demand for technology products, where people increasingly view gadgets as a basic need to stay connected and productive in the digital era.
In the midst of an increasingly connected world, having gadgets is no longer a matter of prestige, but about an adaptive lifestyle. Technology is now present not only to make life easier, but also to expand the way we work, learn, and be creative.
