Veda Ega Ready To Face Moto3 2026 Challenges

JAKARTA Indonesia's young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, is ready to face challenges in the 2026 Moto3 class, which is his debut season.

The rider from Gunungkidul has officially defended Honda Team Asia in the coming season. He moved up after performing well in the Red Bull Rookies Cup this season as runner-up.

Veda welcomed this step with joy. He also admitted that he was proud to be able to appear in the 2026 Moto3 World Championships.

"This is very special for me because being a world champion has been my dream since I was a child," Veda said as quoted by the official HRC website.

Veda actually did not qualify for the race in this class because she was not 18 years old. He will only be 17 years old on November 23, 2025.

However, there is an exception article for a rider to appear in Moto3 at the age of 17 if he is in the top three events below him, namely JuniorGP and Red Bull Rookies Cup.

Veda said that racing in the Moto3 class is certainly not an easy thing because you have to compete with the world's best riders. However, he is ready to compete.

"I am ready to work hard and learn as much as possible. I want to adapt quickly to the new category, get to know the team, and start working together. I can't wait to start this new chapter," he said.

Veda Ega will play a full season in Moto3 accompanying Mario Suryo Aji, who continues his work on the Moto2 class stage with Honda Team Asia (HTA).

He moved up the Moto3 class as a substitute for Japanese racer, Taiyo Furusato, who moved up to Moto2 2026. Veda is one team together with a Japanese racer, namely Zen Mitani.
