Pockets 5 Years Of OS Support, OPPO Find X9 Will Get Five Android Updates

JAKARTA OPPO has resumed its software support for five years. This support is back on the OPPO flagship cellphone, the Find X9 Series, which will be present in Indonesia on November 5.

This latest device consists of two models, namely standard OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro. The two devices were launched this year with the support of the Android 16 operating system (OS) and are promised to receive fairly long OS support.

With a five-year OS update guarantee, Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will certainly receive updates up to Android 21. In addition to OS updates, these two devices will also receive security updates for a total of six years.

Other devices that have five years of support are the OPPO Find X8 Series which was launched last year. The line, which consists of OPPO Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Ultra, will get software support up to Android 20.

When launched, OPPO Find X8 and X8 Pro used Android 15 as its basis for OS. This expansion of support shows OPPO's steps in competing with other mobile phone manufacturers in the realm of flagship devices.

Although there has been no official confirmation, a report released by Gizmochina states that OPPO Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro will receive five Android updates. If this report proves true, this policy could be extended to more Reno series in the future.

Currently, Samsung and Google are still the phone developers offering the longest OS support duration. Both support Android OS updates for up to five years and this may be implemented by OPPO in the future.
