Jannik Sinner Pijak Quarter-Finals Paris Masters 2025
JAKARTA Jannik Sinner advanced to the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters for the first time in his career after he defeated Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerundolo.
The Italian moved cautiously in early points in the first set, but never received medical treatment in the match which ended with a score of 7-5 and 6-1 on Thursday, October 30, 2025, local time.
This victory made the 24-year-old player keep his hopes of returning to the world number one currently occupied by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
"I ended the game and felt much better. Hopefully this gives me confidence to start well tomorrow," said Sinner.

This victory made Sinner the first Italian player to make it to the quarter-finals in all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
Tennis player who has collected four Grand Slams in his career has so far recorded titles in the Masters 1000 tournament, namely Miami, Canada, Cincinnati, and Shanghai.
"Hopefully I can recover physically, which is my top priority. Today was a great match and an extraordinary performance from me," said Sinner.
Sinner will automatically return to top position early next week if he manages to take advantage of Alcaraz's defeat by winning his first Masters 1000 title this season.
Sinner will next meet Ben Shelton. The American player defeated Andrey Rublev with a final score of 7-6(6) and 6-3.
Shelton beat Sinner in Shanghai in 2023, but lost in the next six meetings without winning a set so he was clearly not seeded in these clashes.
