BTN Officially Launches BTN-HKBP Savings, Boosts Cheap Funds

JAKARTA - BTN launched the BTN Huria Kristen Batak Protestant Savings (HKBP), at the HKBP Seminarium Sipoholon Auditorium, North Tapanuli, Tuesday, October 28.

The launch of this savings, apart from supporting religious activities, is expected to increase the company's low-cost funds.

"The BTN 'HKBP' relationship is not only a means of saving, but also a form of faith that works through love, because every fund saved will provide an additional 1% benefit to be channeled to the HKBP Church, outside of interest received by customers," explained BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu through a press statement received by VOI on Thursday, October 30.

On that occasion, BTN also signed a Cooperation Agreement between BTN and HKBP at HKBP Seminarium Sipoholon, North Tapanuli. The launch of BTN Savings HKBP is a product designed with the spirit of transaction, service and love.

The funds will be channeled back to support church services and operational activities and a beautiful example of how financial activities can be used as a means of spiritual service.

This cooperation, apart from being a form of partnership between financial institutions and religious organizations, is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to bring goodness and benefits to the community, especially the HKBP congregation throughout Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, BTN is committed to supporting the management of church finances that are more efficient and professional, as well as providing convenience for congregants in accessing financial services and also helping priests, administrators, and congregations in having decent housing through various BTN financing programs.

On the same occasion, Ompui Ephorus (Chairman) HKBP, Rev. Victor Tinambunan, said that his party was grateful and welcomed the cooperation with BTN which was expected to support improving congregational welfare and developing HKBP as a large organization.

"With the collaboration with BTN, we hope that priests, administrators, and congregations can have a better quality of life and contribute more to the country," said Ompui Ephorus (Chairman) HKBP, Rev. Victor Tinambunan.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the HKBP University Foundation Nommensen (UHN) Dr Effendi MS Simbolon, said he was very grateful because BTN trusted UHN HKBP to cooperate.

"As stated by the President Director of BTN, if the MoU is very noble, yes, it is a promise of faith. Because it does not reduce the rights of interest obtained. But it is added to the HKBP account," said Chairman of the HKBP University Foundation Nommensen (UHN), Dr Effendi MS Simbolon.

The number of HKBP congregants currently reaches 6.5 million people who make HKBP the largest church organization in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
