118 Hot Spots Of Forest And Land Fires Monitored In Riau, Most Inhu

PEKANBARU - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Sultan Syarif Kasim Station (SSK) II Pekanbaru detected 118 hotspots or hot spots of forest and land fires (karhutla) in Riau Province. Most of them are in Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Regency.

"The most hot spots are in Inhu, 24 points," said Forecaster on duty BMKG Pekanbaru SSK II Station Yudhistira M, Friday, October 31.

Yudhistira explained that as many as 118 hot spots were spread across 11 districts and cities in Riau. Apart from Inhu, the second most hotspots were detected in Rokan Hilir with 17 points.

Then Rokan Hulu 15 points, Kampar 14 points, Pelalawan 14 points, Dumai City 13 points, Indragiri Hilir eight points, Kuantan Singingi (Kunsing) six points, Bengkalis four points, and Pekanbaru City two points.

Yudhistira reported that the weather in Pekanbaru and its surroundings today is expected to be cloudy from morning to evening. Light rain has the potential to occur in parts of Pelalawan Regency, Meranti Islands, Bengkalis, Siak, Indragiri Hulu, and Indragiri Hilir.

The visibility ranges from 7 to 8 kilometers. Meanwhile, the air quality in Pekanbaru City today is relatively moderate with a concentration of 22.2 particulats / m3.
