Regarding The Presence Of MPV E9 In Indonesia, Here's GAC's Response

JAKARTA GAC Indonesia again stole the attention through an environmentally friendly MPV model that was exhibited during a factory visit some time ago and also appeared at the GIIAS 2025 event. The car immediately caught the public's attention thanks to its elegant and futuristic design.

However, in the midst of that enthusiasm, the question arises: When will the premium MPV officially launch in Indonesia?

Responding to this, the Chief Executive Officer of Aion Indonesia, Andry Ciu, finally opened his voice. He emphasized that the launch of the Aion E9 model was deliberately postponed because GAC wanted to present a new generation version, not just a light refresher.

"Indeed, we did not launch it during GIIAS because we were waiting for a really new model. So later it will not be a minor change, but a full change model," explained Andry on the sidelines of the Aion UT handover event at PIK, Thursday, October 31.

Andry added that the latest version of Aion E9 which will be marketed in Indonesia has not yet been released in China, and its launch in the country of origin is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

"After launching in China, usually two months later they are already present in Indonesia," he said.

Futuristic Design, Performance Is No Less Tempting

Based on VOI's direct observation, Aion E9 appeared with a large grip combined with a cypit-style main light, giving a modern impression and futuristics typical of future cars. Entering the cabin, the interior looks luxurious with a container seat configuration on the second row, offering more comfort for passengers.

Citing information from the Singapore GAC, this electrification MPV is powered by a 2.0L gasoline engine combined with an electric motor, producing a combined power of up to 373 hp and a peak torque of 630 Nm. This combination makes Aion E9 an environmentally friendly MPV that remains powered and responsive on the road.

The presence of the new generation of Aion E9 will certainly strengthen the ranks of GAC electrification vehicles in the Indonesian market, as well as become a serious competitor in the premium hybrid and plug-in hybrid segment. With a futuristic design and high performance, this model has the potential to be an attractive choice for consumers who want environmentally friendly vehicles without sacrificing comfort and energy.
