Geely's Latest Sedan Launches At A Price Of IDR 171 Million And A Tempuh Distance Of 1,700 Km
JAKARTA - Geely officially launched its newest electric sedan, the Galaxy Starshine 6, in the Chinese market. This model is one of Geely's strategic steps in expanding the electric vehicle line under the Galaxy sub-brand, by offering high efficiency and affordable prices.
The Galaxy Starshine 6 comes with two choices of driving systems, namely pure electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. For the PHEV variant, Geely claims the maximum range reaches 1,700 kilometers in battery conditions and the fuel tank is full.
Meanwhile, the pure electricity version is able to cover a distance of up to 530 kilometers in one charge. As reported by Carnewschina, Friday, October 31.
In terms of design, Starshine 6 carries a modern fastback style with a clean body line and aerodynamic proportions. The front features a thin LED light with a closed grille typical of an electric car, while the back adopts an LED light blending from side to side, giving a futuristic impression.
Its interior relies on a minimalist approach with a large touchscreen dominance measuring 15.4 inches and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system is powered by an N-OS Galaxy platform connected to the Snapdragon 8295 chip, promising a responsive digital experience.
Geely also provides Galaxy Starshine 6 with a variety of active safety features, including advanced driving assistance (ADAS) which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.

For performance, the pure electric variant uses a single motor powered by 268 stances with a torque of 343 Nm. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid combines a 1.5 liter turbo engine with an electric motor, resulting in a total power of up to 390 stances.
Geely set the starting price for the Galaxy Starshine 6 at US$10,300, or around Rp. 171 million. The price makes it one of the longest-range electric sedans and the most competitive price in its class in China's domestic market.
The presence of the Galaxy Starshine 6 shows Geely's ambition to challenge brand dominance such as BYD and Tesla in the medium electric vehicle segment, by offering a combination of high efficiency, advanced technology, and rational prices for urban consumers.
