Dpr Will Discuss Tax Amnesty In KU Bill
JAKARTA - Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Sufmi Dasco Ahmad revealed that President Joko Widodo has sent a letter to the House of Representatives to discuss the Fifth Amendment Bill on Law 6/1983 on General Provisions and Procedures for Taxation (Bill KUP).
"One of the discussions is about tax amnesty," Dasco said thursday, May 20.
The letter from the President, said Dasco, will be followed up by the House of Representatives and taken to the board of deliberations to conduct discussions with the relevant commission.
"If the Presidential Decree (Presidential Letter) has arrived in the House of Representatives, certainly in accordance with the mechanisms and regulations, we will discuss at the Chairman's Meeting to be brought to Bamus (Board of Deliberations) and assign the relevant technical commission to discuss the bill," he said.
The head of the House of Representatives for economic and financial affairs explained, the House of Representatives will review and discuss the issue of tax Amnesty volume II in more detail in the relevant technical commission, namely Commission XI with the government.
"By listening to input from academics, entrepreneurs, MSME activists and other communities and will also pay attention to some evaluation notes on the implementation of tax amnesty in 2016," explained Dasco.
Dasco hopes that with the tax amnesty volume II can accelerate the national economic recovery in the middle and post-pandemic.
"With the revision of the KuP Law, it is expected to encourage increased state revenues from the taxation sector, become an instrument for the government in accelerating the national economic recovery, and also the realization of the state budget health with the budget deficit back to 3 percent in 2023," said the Chairman of the Gerindra Party Daily.
