BGN Reports Pidie Jaya Aceh Deputy Regent Who Persecutes The Head Of SPPG Sagoe Village
JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) strongly condemns the acts of persecution that befell the Head of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) Sagoe Village, Triengggadeng District, Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh, Muhammad Reza, which was carried out by the Deputy Regent of Pidie Jaya, Hasan Basri.
Deputy Head of BGN Sony Sonjaya emphasized that his party does not tolerate any form of violence against the implementer of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) and has reported the action to the authorities.
"The MBG program is carried out with a spirit of humanity and mutual cooperation. SPPG officers work in the field with full responsibility according to technical instructions. Violence in any form against them is an act that injures human values and professionalism," Sony said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 30.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of BGN Nanik S. Deyang added that all officers in the field must receive legal protection and moral support from the central and regional governments.
"We have directed the regional monitoring and supervision team to assist the victims and ensure that the legal process runs according to the rules," said Nanik.
The incident was previously officially reported by the Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision of BGN through a special report dated October 30, 2025.
Based on the information received, acts of violence occurred when Deputy Regent Hasan Basri made a surprise visit to the SPPG of Sagoe Village without prior notification.
The visit, which should be coaching and supervising the program, was marked by unpleasant actions and physical violence against SPPG officers.
The report states that Deputy Regent Hasan Basri shouted at volunteers, issued threats, and beat the Head of SPPG Muhammad Reza in front of the officers who were working. The situation only subsided after being resolved by his personal assistant.
