VOI Today: Hundreds Of Students In Gunungkidul And West Bandung Allegedly Poisoning MBG, Government Continues MBG, Target 82.9 Million Recipients

JAKARTA - 695 students in Gunungkidul are suspected of being poisoned after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program menu. Around 230 students in Lembang, West Bandung were also reported to have MBG poisoning on October 30, 2025. In fact, President Prabowo is targeting zero accidents.

The case in Lembang was in the spotlight because on September 24, West Bandung RegentUL Ismail had determined the status of an Extraordinary Event (KLB) due to more than 1,300 MBG poisoning students in Cipongkor. It is known, as of October 12, the Indonesian Education Monitoring Network (JPPI) recorded a total of 11,566 MBG victims.

Even though the poisoning case continues, the Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana emphasized that the government remains optimistic about pursuing the target of 82.9 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025. Check out the full information on VOI.id.
