Koster Signs Deputy Governor Giri To Advance Governor Of Bali In 2029
DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster signaled to Deputy Governor of Bali I Nyoman Giri Prasta that he will be the one to run as Governor of Bali in 2029.
This was mentioned during the Optimization Activization of Foreign Tourist Charges with tourism business actors, where Governor Koster asked Giri Prasta as the next governor to carry out the Policy for Development for the 100 Years Bali New Era 2025-2125.
"If he doesn't want to carry out it, he will not have the blessing to carry out his duties as a leader who has succeeded in improving the welfare of the community, so be careful Mr. Deputy Governor, later because he will run for governor, the Deputy Governor must understand," said Koster in front of Giri Prasta in Denpasar, Thursday, October 30.
The sign was greeted with a smile and cheers from a row of Bali Provincial Government officials and tourism business actors.
Furthermore, rather than just giving a code, Governor Koster, who has led the two periods, seriously explained that in carrying out Bali, it is not enough to understand on a scale oraway basis but also to the scale that has all been contained in the direction of the development.
The development process, which was made during the first period, has even been paid at Pura Agung Besakih as a manifestation of the seriousness of the Bali Provincial Government in carrying out good development for Bali.
"Until 2125, everything has been arranged, please read it so that we can see how Bali will go in the future, the forms, challenges, and problems we face for the next 100 years so that we can direct ourselves and take on roles," said Koster.
Reflecting on the Policy for the Development of the 100 Years of Bali New Era 2025-2125, Governor Koster felt that there was no need for officials in Bali to study around the world to look for many examples, because the direction of Bali's development had been contained there.

One example of his message to Giri Prasta is to maintain the balance of electricity and energy supply in Bali, because Bali as a tourism area is vulnerable to electricity problems.
He told how PLN offered an additional 500 MW of energy to Bali, while currently with 350 MW of electricity from the Paiton PLTU alone it is difficult to control Bali, so he refused additional electricity with the submarine cable.
The Bali Provincial Government is afraid that tourism, which is prone to disruption due to electricity problems, such as a blackout a few months ago, will repeat itself, so Giri Prasta was asked to maintain this commitment.
"The Deputy Governor must remember again that, must be committed," said Koster.
