Effectiveness Becomes The Pretext For The KPK To Examine Members Of The DPR From The NasDem Rajiv Faction At The Cirebon Police

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) argued that the NasDem legislator examination was held at the Cirebon Police to make it more effective. This is because investigators are currently there to examine a number of witnesses in the corruption case of corporate social responsibility (CSR) Bank Indonesia (BI)-Financial Services Authority (OJK).

"The examination was carried out in Cirebon considering that the investigative team is also conducting examinations of a number of witnesses there for this case. To be more effective," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, October 30.

Budi said Rajiv should actually have been questioned at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Monday, October 27. However, he was not present so investigators rescheduled at the Cirebon Police.

"Coordinated as such, because the team is also at risk there," he said.

Diketahui, Rajiv belum menjadi anggota parlemen saat CSR BI-OJK itu jadi bancakan. Dia saat itu merupakan staf ahli Komisi XI DPR dan menjadi pihak yang ikut mendistribusikan uang dari program itu.

As for the examination, investigators explored several things. Among them are about his relationship with the legislators of the DPR from the NasDem Party faction in Satori and Heri Gunawan, a member of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction who became a suspect.

Previously reported, the KPK officially announced the legislators of the DPR from the NasDem Satori Party faction and Heri Gunawan as members of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction as suspects in the alleged corruption of BI-OJK CSR funds. Both are suspected of receiving gratuities and committing money laundering (TPPU).

Satori is suspected of receiving a total of IDR 12.52 billion in this case. The details are IDR 6.30 billion from BI; IDR 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and IDR 1.04 billion from other working partners of Commission XI of the DPR.

The money is allegedly used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchases of two-wheeled vehicles, and purchases of other assets.

Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp15.86 billion and used it also for personal gain. The details are Rp6.26 billion from BI; Rp7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR.

The money is then accommodated in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build restaurants, manage drink outlets, purchase land and buildings to purchase four-wheeled vehicles.
