Regarding 10 Percent Etanol Mixture, This Is What Suzuki Motor Indonesia Says

JAKARTA - In recent times, there has been a lot of discussion about the mixture of fuel oil (BBM) with ethanol being discussed again. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia even revealed that the government is preparing a roadmap for the implementation of the mixed fuel.

Bahlil also mentioned that the plan to implement E10 on fuel products has received the blessing of President Prabowo Subianto.

Then, the last three days of social media timelines, especially X, have been enlivened with a narrative that, whether true or not, fuel oil (BBM) with ethanol is suspected to cause tanks to riot on two-wheeled vehicles, especially in East Java.

Responding to this, Victor Assani, 2W Service Area Section Head of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, said Suzuki's two-wheeled products can be seen on manual owners, with various information about a vehicle including the fuel specifications used.

"As far as I know, most of our products, especially since 2010, have been declared compatible with ethanol with a maximum level of 10 percent and some even 20 percent," he said when contacted by VOI, Thursday, October 30.

He further revealed, with the government's policy regarding the use of 10 percent ethanol, in general, it would not be a problem.

"So, facing government policies on this matter in general, there is no problem," he added.

So, it is certain that the Suzuki motorbike, which was released in 2010 and above, is safe to drink fuel with a mix of 10 percent ethanol, as the government wants to launch.
