JAKARTA - Lion Air Group stated that it will return to serve domestic flights with a schedule starting May 3. However, this flight is only for business purposes, not for homecoming. The logging permit has also been issued by the regulator, namely the Ministry of Transportation.

The airlines that are members of the Lion Air Group are Lion Air with the flight code JT, Wings Air with the IW code and Batik Air with the flight code ID. These three airlines also serve flights with the operational purpose of cargo transportation.

In addition, Danang said, this flight was also allowed for operational purposes of law enforcement, order and emergency services, special flight services (repatriation) for the return of Indonesian Citizens (WNI) or Foreign Citizens (WNA) and others with the permission of the Director General of Civil Aviation. .

According to Danang, the flight service is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Rebulik Indonesia Number PM 25 of 2020 concerning Transportation Control during the Eid al-Fitr air transportation period of the 1441 Hijri period in order to prevent the spread of the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

"The operational plan will serve domestic flight routes including cities or destinations with the status of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and areas with local transmission or affected areas (Red Zone)," said Danang, in a written statement received by VOI, in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 28th.

Danang emphasized that business people and potential guests or passengers with exempt purposes must comply with the COVID-19 handling protocol by filling in complete documents and attaching them before departure based on the requirements issued by the airline.

First, said Danang, business people or prospective passengers must carry a health certificate from the local hospital, which states that they are free or negative for COVID-19 with a maximum of seven days after the test results come out.

"We have conducted a series of examinations through the rapid diagnostic test method or rapid diagnostic test, swab test or polymerase chain reaction (PCR)," he explained.

The second requirement that must be fulfilled, continued Danang, was filling out a statement letter on the PSBB route or red zone provided by the Lion Air Group.

"Third, attach a travel certificate from the agency / institution / company which explains that prospective guests or passengers traveling by airplane are not for 'going home'," he said.

Fourth, traders or logistics entrepreneurs who do not have an agency can make a statement to trade / transact correctly.

In preparing travel plans for business people and potential guests for certain destinations, Lion Air will operate a fleet of Boeing 737-900ER with 215 economy class, Boeing 737-800NG with 189 economy class.
