Lyon Wants To Borrow Endrick From Real Madrid
JAKARTA - Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon) led the Real Madrid striker's loan hunt, Endrick, in January 2026 although the Ligue 1 club was not the only one eyeing the Brazilian.
The 19-year-old has not played a single minute at LaLiga this season after recovering from an injury that has kept him out since May 2025.
ESPN reported a week ago that Endrick was open for loan and wanted to play in the Champions League, but he had no problem joining a team like Lyon competing in the Europa League.
Teams in Spain, Germany and Italy are also interested in borrowing Endrick in January 2026.

However, Endrick is guaranteed to start in Lyon. His arrival there will also be made easier because Lyon's manager, Paulo Fonseca, can speak Portuguese.
Lyon had to pay a loan fee to Real Madrid and bear Endrick's entire salary of USD 400,000 (approximately IDR 6.6 billion) per month.
Endrick's absence from LaLiga's match against Getafe on October 19, 2025 - where he warmed up on the sidelines, before looking frustrated and kicked a water bottle into the field when he was told he would not be included - was at its peak.
ESPN reported in July 2025 that Real Madrid would consider lending Endrick to ensure its progress was not hampered by the lack of chance to play in the first team, but the forward was reluctant to leave Bernabeu.
Real Madrid signed Endrick from Palmeiras in 2022, but had to wait until July 2024--when he was 18--to complete the official transfer, by signing a six-year-old contract.
