CILEGON - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Cilegon City, Banten Province, is intensifying the wavy vaccination of rubella which targets 27,130 children aged 9 months to 15 years, following the determination of extraordinary incidents (KLB) of Measles in four sub-districts.

The head of the Cilegon City Health Office, Ratih Purnamasari, said that this mass vaccination was carried out in a quick response to the outbreak and lasted for a full month, from October 13 to November 13, 2025.

"Vaccination activities are carried out directly by health centers in their respective areas, through posyandu services and schools," said Ratih in Cilegon, Antara, Thursday, October 30.

He appealed to the public to immediately complete the immunization of rubella Measles for their children to prevent wider transmission.

"People also need to get used to clean and healthy living behavior, such as washing their hands, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and avoiding direct contact with sufferers," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Cilegon Fajar Hadi Prabowo said the status of the KLB was determined after the discovery of 31 positive cases of rubella Measles in four sub-districts, namely Cibeber, Jombang, Citangkil, and Pulomerak.

"The status is outbreak, because there is already a case. It's been KLB in four sub-districts. In fact, a few years earlier this case was declared nil," said Fajar.

“Vaksinasi ini merupakan tindak lanjut pemerintah untuk berperan aktif mengatasi penyebaran penyakit dan melindungi anak-anak kita,” kata Fajar.

"This vaccination is a follow-up to the government to play an active role in overcoming the spread of disease and protecting our children," said Fajar.
