BI Boss Confident That Indonesia's Digital Financial Transaction Volume Can Grow 4 Times
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo revealed that currently the volume of national digital financial transactions has reached 37 billion transactions per year.
He estimates that this number will increase to around 147 billion transactions per year in the next five years, or by 2030.
"We estimate that currently the digital financial economy, the transaction volume of 37 billion transactions will increase 4 times, so 147.3 billion transactions," he said at the Indonesian Digital Economy Festival (FEKDI) and Indonesia Fintech Summit & Expo (IFSE) 2025 on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
In addition to its volume, he added that the value of digital financial transactions is also projected to experience a significant increase from around Rp520 trillion per year to around Rp2,080 trillion in the next five years.
Perry menambahkan, transaksi sistem pembayaran digital juga diprediksi tumbuh cepat dari yang saat ini sekitar 13 ribu transaksi, diperkirakan akan melonjak hingga 48,6 miliar transaksi pada tahun 2030.

He emphasized that this development is an illustration of the future of Indonesia's digital economy.
According to Perry, Indonesia has now transformed into a country with the fastest digital economic growth and payment system in the world.
"Now Indonesia, thank God, has the fastest growing digital economy and payment systems in the world," he said.
