Rey Mbayang And Dinda Hauw Are Ready To Bring Indonesia's Horror Go Global Via The Gaib Ritual Film
Rey Mbayang and Dinda Hauw jointly starred in a horror film entitled Rual Gaib: Nyai Randasura which was produced in collaboration with Children of the Films Country from Indonesia and Kraken Entertainment from Australia.
Like in real life, Rey and Dinda were paired as husband and wife in the film Ritual Gaib. They played the characters Radit and Laras.
Rey admits that she is close to horror stories. He was also enthusiastic when he accepted Radit's role, especially in this film, he felt the shooting process in the middle of the forest.
"I really like horror, because I am from Manado and Opa from Toraja. There, the horror is very thick," Rey said at a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 28.
"And to join in the film Ritual Gaib, this is also interesting, finally I felt filming in the middle of the forest," he continued.
Meanwhile, the film Ritual Gaib is predicted to be the first intellectual property (IP) for the nation's children to be presented at the 2025 American Film Market (AFM) which will be held in Los Angeles, California, United States in November.
Dinda is no less enthusiastic about her husband. The Gaib ritual was his first horror film. He was also happy when this project was intended to be introduced globally.
"This is my first horror film and accompanied by a partner. Hopefully, with our presence in the film Ritual Gaib, it can have a good impact and participate in making Indonesian films proud abroad," said Dinda.

In addition, Intan Kieflie as the producer said, Ritual Gaib has completed the filming process and is currently in the post-production stage. While waiting for the broadcast schedule, this film still wants to see the results of the 2025 AFM, so that it can be brought to the global market.
"We are still waiting for the results in AFM. And hopefully later there will be global distributors who are interested," said Intan.
The Gaib ritual is not just a film work. In collaboration with Noise, Gagas Media, and Bumi Nusantara, this IP is intended as a cultural movement that proves that Indonesian horror has high export value and global attraction.
"This original occult is not only a film IP, but a multimedia IP. Later we will have books, documentaries, and we also have podcasts," concluded Intan Kieflie.
