Meta Reveals Daily Active User Threads Increases To 150 Million

JAKARTA - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Threads has grown to 150 million daily active users. This was conveyed during Meta's third-quarter earnings call.

In addition, Zuck also said that the time spent by users in the Threads app had increased by 10 percent, this niche was said to be thanks to an increase in the company's AI recommendation system.

As Threads grew, Meta also confirmed that the number of ads on the platform was also increasing. In a joint call with analyst, CFO Meta, Susan Li, said that the advertising' has now been broadcast globally' on the Threads feed.

While the daily active user Threads continues to increase, the tech giant continues to improve its services by presenting a variety of new features, ranging from community features, group chats, to ghost posts.

The community feature in Threads is similar to that of X, where basically this feature is designed so users can exchange unique perspectives on certain topics. Anyone can join the conversation.

Meanwhile, with the group chat feature, users can create a DM (direct message) group that accommodates up to 50 people in one conversation, complete with the ability to name custom groups and new privacy features.

The latest feature, is a ghost post feature that allows users to post temporary content, and the post will disappear automatically in 24 hours, similar to how Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp stories work.
