Paragon Corp And Young Innovation Instill Green Jobs' Spirit To 200 High School Students In Surakarta

JAKARTA - In commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, Paragon Corp in collaboration with Young Innovations to organize the Green Jobs Class: InnovAction #5 Green Future Grow Hope for Sustainable Agriculture at SMA Negeri 9 Surakarta on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. This program introduces the younger generation to the concept of green jobs through interactive activities around sustainable agriculture and organic waste management.

This event was also attended by Mrs. Nurmalita Sari as HRBP DC with the Surakarta City Paragon Corp Team, Mr. Edi Purwanto, SE, MM from the Regional VII Education Office Branch of Central Java Province, Mrs. Prastyaningsih, SP, M.S. as the Cares for the Environment of Young Experts, Mrs. Ugik Sugiharti, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the Supervisor of SMAN 9 Surakarta, Mrs. Meira Dwi Nugrahaningsih, S.S., MPd. as the Head of SMAN 9 Surakarta along with the ranks of teachers, as well as 8 representatives from the Mulur Main Waste Bank and students who participated in the activity.

As many as 200 students and 74 paragonians were directly involved in planting activities of more than 200 ornamental and productive plant seeds, such as tabebuya, bougainville, jasmine, in-laws' tongue, tomatoes, and guava. This variety of plants was chosen because it has ecological benefits, economic value, and can be used as learning material for students at school.

In addition, participants took part in the eco enzyme workshop to process organic waste into useful products, as well as ecoprint as an innovation in the use of environmentally friendly natural ingredients. The representative of Paragon, Nurmalita Sari, S.S. said that this activity was part of Paragon Corp's commitment to expanding access to sustainable education for the younger generation, especially in the pillars of the CSR Environment.

"Hopefully, this program can continue as a form of our responsibility to the environment," he said, in a written statement, Thursday, October 30.

The Principal of SMA Negeri 9 Surakarta, Mrs. Meira Dwi Nugrahaningsih, S.S.S, M.Pd, expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity.

This collaboration between Paragon Corp and Young Innovation through Green Jobs Class is a joint step to instill a spirit of sustainability to the younger generation. Through this activity, students not only learn about sustainable agriculture, but also understand how green skills can be part of future careers.
