Pertamina Conducts Lab Test, Says Fuel Quality from Tuban Terminal Meets Specifications

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero), along with the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the National Institute of Gas Management (Lemigas), conducted on-site inspections of several gas stations in East Java on Wednesday, October 29th. This activity was carried out to follow up on public reports and to ensure fuel quality and the implementation of operational service standards in the field.

"Regarding the incidents involving several customer vehicles experiencing problems, we immediately conducted a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the disruption and prepared customer service posts in the affected areas," said Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, on Thursday, October 30th.

Mars Ega added that based on laboratory test results, Pertalite products from the Tuban and Surabaya fuel terminals met applicable quality standards. However, Pertamina Patra Niaga is continuing to conduct further investigations at the gas station level to ensure quality throughout the distribution channel.

Mars Ega also apologized to the affected community for the inconvenience caused by the Pertalite outbreak.

"We extend our deepest apologies to all consumers who experienced inconvenience due to this incident," he said.

He is committed to following up on every report responsibly by opening a complaint post for the public experiencing similar incidents.

Meanwhile, for those wishing to submit reports outside the post area, Pertamina provides various official reporting channels, including a call center and Instagram DMs.

"You can go to the last gas station where you purchased fuel, or contact the Pertamina Contact Center 135 by phone, email, or social media DM," he concluded.
