Huawei Introduces F5G-A, High-Speed Optical Network
JAKARTA - Huawei introduced its latest innovations in all-optical F5G Advanced (F5G-A) technology, which is designed to support high-speed digital services such as Wi-Fi 7, cloud, and a generating AI application.
Vice President of Huawei Optical Business Product Line, Kim Jin, stated that WiFi 7 is one of the key technologies of the F5G-A that provides an ultra-gigabit access experience.
The F5G network is claimed to be able to deliver full optical (all-optical) connectivity with ultra-wide speed, low latency, and high reliability, thus creating a superior user experience.
When compared to the F5G, Kim Jin explained, the F5G-A offers a comprehensive increase in bandwidth, link sensing, and intelligence.
Because this technology is all-optical, it means that the entire data transmission process is carried out completely through a fiber optic network, without using copper cables in any part.
This means that the F5G-A technology allows for faster, more stable, and intelligent fiber optic connectivity, so as to be able to answer network needs in the era of high-speed digital services.
This technology has been widely adopted in various sectors such as education, governance, households, health, and SMEs, acting as a strong driver of digital transformation.

With this F5G-A technology, Huawei has developed a number of fiber access solutions for various scenarios, including FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTR (Fiber to the Room), and FTTO (Fiber to the Office).
"With the F5G-A, customers can build a digital optical infrastructure full of large bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability, which serves as a solid foundation for intelligence transformation," Kim Jin said in a statement.
He also emphasized that Huawei will continue to uphold the philosophy of innovation, collaboration, and mutual benefit, working closely with local partners to provide an end-to-end F5G-A solution.
"Together, we are determined to accelerate the full improvement of the optical network in Indonesia, and bring smooth smart connectivity without obstacles to every home and business in Indonesia," he said.
