Cristiano Ronaldo Towards 1,000 Goals, A Record Never Achieved By Anyone

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 950th career in Al Nassr's 2-0 win over Al Hazm in the Saudi Arabian Pro League (Saudi Pro League) on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

This victory extends Al Nassr's record 100 percent at the start of the season in six matches he has played.

Joao Felix opened the scoring for Al Nassr in the 25th minute with a header. His brilliant performance continued before Ronaldo confirmed victory through a close-range shot two minutes from time to time.

It was Ronaldo's sixth goal in the league this season. He has scored in his last four games for the club.

Ronaldo has not won a league in Saudi Arabia since his move in 2023, but his team is three points ahead of Al Taawun in their bid to win the title.

The Portuguese player is on his way to reach 1,000 goals in his career. Earlier this month, he said he would only stop playing football if he felt "full".

"People, especially my family, say that it's time to stop because they've done everything."

"I was asked why I wanted to score a thousand goals? However, I don't think so. I think I still produce good things, I help my club and national team, so why not keep going?"

"I'm sure when I'm done, I'll be satisfied because I've given everything. I know I don't have much time anymore."

"However, for the few years I have, I try to fully enjoy it," Ronaldo told Canal 11.

Cristiano Ronaldo pursues what any football player has never officially achieved in a competitive match, which is the main milestone of 1,000 goals in his career.

Even so, Pele and Romario claimed the opposite when adding their goals in a friendly match.

This will be the culmination of statistical greatness, a record that will redefine individual excellence limits in this sport.

Throughout his career, the Portuguese superstar has broken most records and won most of the trophies he could have won.

However, being able to score 1,000 goals will officially put him on his own record in football.

Ronaldo has become the top international goalscorer with 143 goals from 225 matches, while the rest have scored a total of 950 goals at the club for two decades, namely when they were in Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al Nassr.

Now, he only needs 50 goals to reach a total of four digits.
