The Cost Of Hajj 2026 Drops By IDR 2 Million, Commission VIII Of The House Of Representatives Ensures The Quality Of Congregational Services Is Maintained
JAKARTA - Commission VIII of the House of Representatives together with the government have set the Cost of Organizing Hajj (BPIH) 1447 H/2026 M of IDR 87.41 trillion. This figure is down about IDR 2 million when compared to the previous year's Hajj costs.
Of the total IDR 87.4 trillion, the value of the benefits of managing hajj funds reached IDR 33.21 trillion or 38 percent, while the costs paid directly by the congregation amounted to IDR 54.19 trillion or 62 percent.
Even so, the Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, Marwan Dasopang, ensured that the reduction in costs would not reduce the quality of Hajj services.
"This decrease in costs will not reduce service standards to pilgrims," said Marwan at the DPR building, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 29.
Marwan explained, Commission VIII and the government have also ensured that all aspects of service are maintained, ranging from accommodation, consumption, land and air transportation, to services in the Holy Land.
He also appreciated the performance of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) which recorded a surplus of around Rp. 149 billion. According to him, this surplus is an important reserve to support the sustainability of subsidies with benefits for pilgrims.

Marwan explained that after the determination of BPIH 2026, the congregation will pay a fee of Rp. 54.19 million minus the initial deposit of Rp. 25 million and a virtual account balance of around Rp. 2.7 million.
Thus, said Marwan, the payment that must be paid by the congregation is estimated at around Rp. 26.49 million. The congregation will also receive a living cost refund of Rp. 3.3 million so that the real cost paid is around Rp. 23.19 million.
"With good efficiency and financial management, the congregation actually gets relief," said Marwan.
