Kirk Hammett Introduces Limited Edition Raven Acoustic Guitar, Only 100 Units In The World

JAKARTA - Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett strengthened his long-term partnership with Gibson. Through this collaboration, an acoustic guitar born from Gibson Custom was introduced.

Hammett collaborated directly with the great craftsmen, Bozeman, Montana, to create Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven. This guitar is lined up as the magnificent couple of the legendary Humingbird series.

Kirk Hammett Raven's acoustic guitar is highly limited, only 100 units worldwide, and is becoming available at Gibson's official dealer and can be viewed via www.gibson.com's official website.

The 62-year-old guitarist has been in partnership with Gibson since 2021. He said the collaboration with the well-known manufacturer had long been awaited.

I've been an official endorser for Gibson and it's been a long time waiting. I'm really very happy about it. And when I think about it, I've been playing Gibson, really, since the end of the 70s when I bought my first black Flying V, in 1979," Hammett said, quoted by Blabbermouth, Wednesday, October 29.

"And I still have it to this day. Gitar Gibson has accompanied me for almost 95 percent of my musical life. I also respect so many Gibson players in my life, and Gibson's voice has inspired me so much. And sometimes, I don't even realize it," he continued.

Meanwhile, the special acoustic guitar, which is now introduced, was made using sitka spruce wood for the top and mahogany for the back and sides, supported by traditional passageoped Advanced X-bracing. This guitar promises an eternal acoustic tone that has captivated musicians and fans for generations.

While his neck is made of Mahogany wood has a comfortable Round profile, decorated with a framed ebony fritboard complete with 20 frits and inlay stars from the mother-of-pearl. The 16-inch radius makes it ideal for fast and expressive games.
