Toyota Showcases Future Technology And Multi Pathway Strategy

JAKARTA Toyota performed full of vision at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS) at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, October 29 November 9. Carrying the theme TO YOU. TOYOTA, the company presents a series of innovations for the future to realize Mobility for All and Carbon Neutrality.

In this exhibition, Toyota features a variety of superior technologies and products, including the Land Cruiser FJ which is scheduled to launch in 2026. Century Brands are now upgrading to ultra-luxury brands with the tagline Top of the Top, One of One, while Lexus introduced LS Concept, a six-wheeled vehicle that carries a new philosophy Luxury Space.

Because Toyota wants to ensure that each step gives positive value to people in various parts of the world," said President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Hiroyuki Ueda, in his official statement, Wednesday, October 29.

At this event, Toyota carries Multi Pathway Approach (MPA) to achieve carbon neutrality, by presenting a variety of environmentally friendly technologies according to the character of each region. This approach includes Flex Fuel Hybrid in South America, Small Hybrid in Asia, to Fuel Cell EV in Japan.

"Toyota Mobility Concept is the basis for achieving that goal. Mobility 1.0 increases the value of mobility which can provide added value for customers, Mobility 2.0 expands access to mobility to the new realm, and Mobility 3.0 integrates mobility with social and energy systems," said Hiroyuki Ueda.

The best in Town principle is carried out through products and services that adjust local needs. One example is Kijang Innova Zenix HEV, which contributes about 47 percent of the total national Hybrid EV sales in 2024.

Toyota's electrification vehicle growth also increased from 8.7 percent in 2023 to 14.7 percent in 2024, reflecting Toyota's positive acceptance of the electrification strategy in Indonesia.

The Start by Doing principle is applied through concrete actions such as cooperation between Toyota, Pertamina Patra Niaga, and SERA in the bioethenol E10 trial, as well as the construction of Hydrogen Refueling Station (HRS) in Karawang, Toyota's first facility in Southeast Asia.
