Case Of Alleged Corruption At PUDAM Tirta Gorontalo Gold Gate, Kejari Examines 8 Witnesses

GORONTALO - The North Gorontalo District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Gorontalo Province, examined eight witnesses in the alleged corruption case of financial management at Tirta Gate Emas Regional Public Drinking Water Company (PUDAM) with a potential state loss of around Rp. 2.3 billion.

Head of the North Gorontalo Kejari, Zam Zam Ikhwan, through the Acting Head of the Special Crimes Section, Bagas Prasetyo Utomo, said that the examination of witnesses was carried out at the local Kejari office, today.

"The witnesses we examined consisted of active PUDAM employees, former employees, and several former officials at the District Secretariat," Bagas said in Gorontalo, Antara, Wednesday, October 29.

He emphasized that the investigation process was carried out according to the applicable mechanism.

"We are very serious about investigating. For the progress of the results, just wait for the time. We will definitely officially inform you," he said.

Bagas also reminded the public not to easily trust parties on behalf of the Prosecutor's Office for various reasons, including those using the personal telephone number of prosecutors.

"All legal processes are officially carried out and there are no business outside the office. If there are people who use our names, immediately report them," he said.

Selain kasus PUDAM Tirta Gerbang Emas, Kejari Gorontalo Utara saat ini juga menangani tiga kasus dugaan korupsi lainnya yang tengah dalam tahap penyidikan, yakni dugaan korupsi pembangunan Masjid Jabal Iqro senilai Rp6,8 miliar, dugaan korupsi pengelolaan keuangan Desa Gentuma dengan nilai mencapai ratusan juta rupiah.

Dugaan korupsi pengelolaan keuangan oleh Badan Kerja Sama Antar Desa (BKAD) dengan nilai kerugian sekitar Rp4,3 miliar.

In addition to the PUDAM Tirta Gerbang Emas case, the North Gorontalo Kejari is currently also handling three other suspected corruption cases that are currently under investigation, namely the alleged corruption in the construction of the Jabal Iqro Mosque worth Rp. 6.8 billion, the alleged corruption in the financial management of Gentuma Village with a value of hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Allegations of financial management corruption by the Inter-Village Cooperation Agency (BKAD) with a loss value of around Rp. 4.3 billion.
