Many Fans Of Flamengo Were Injured In A Bus Accident Ahead Of The Copa Libertadores Semifinals
ESPN reported that 46 people were injured on Monday, October 27, 2025, local time, when a bus carrying fan Flamengo to Buenos Aires capsized on a highway in Brazil.
The fans are on their way to Avellanneda, Buenos Aires, for the Copa Libertadores semifinal second leg match against Racing Club on Thursday, October 30, 2025, WIB morning.
The accident that occurred in Via Dutra, the main highway linking Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo, caused the bus to roll around without knowing the cause and eventually capsized on the road.

Rio SP - the Dutra highway management company - confirmed to ESPN that of the 46 injured, four were in serious condition, 10 people were moderately injured, while 32 people suffered minor injuries.
"Flameno learned of an accident involving a supporter bus heading to Buenos Aires and contacted the Mayor of Barra Mansa, Luiz Furlani, who immediately provided the City Hospital and Santa Casa Hospital to help the injured victims."
"We also contacted the Fire Brigade General Command and coordinated directly with the Federal Highway Police Inspector Rio (PRF), monitoring all operations at the site. We continue to monitor the situation," Flamengo said in a statement.
