Dispora Aceh Affirms Not To Revoke One-sided Slank Concert Arena Permits

BANDA ACEH - Aceh Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) emphasized that it had never unilaterally revoked the arena or venue permit related to the Youth Pledge stage activities that presented the band Slank and D'Masiv, such as accusations by the organizers of the activity.

"Dispora emphasized that it has never revoked the permit unilaterally and is not on the party that canceled the activity," said Acting Head of Aceh Dispora, T Banta Nuzullah, in Banda Aceh, Tuesday, October 28.

The implementation of the Youth Pledge concert which will be enlivened by Slank and D'Masiv at the Archery field of the Banda Aceh National Hope Stadium Complex on Saturday (25/10) night, failed to take place.

The national scale event was initiated by PT Erol Perkasa Mandiri, in collaboration with GRANAT (National Anti Narcotics Movement), the National Narcotics Agency and the Aceh Police.

In a press conference a few days ago, Saturday (25/10), the EO of the Youth Pledge stage event accused the Aceh Dispora of having revoked the field use permit with a request for land rental money of up to Rp700 million, so that the concert activity was canceled.

The concert licensing committee, Mauval, said that the entire administrative process and activity permit had been taken care of from the start, including from village officials to recommendations from the Disporaz DPMPTSP, to the Aceh Regional Police.

However, said Mauval, the problem arose after the Dispora set the cost of renting the Archery Field at the Harapan Bangsa Stadium complex which was considered too high.

Regarding this accusation, Dispora Aceh explained that the 2025 Youth Pledge stage activities began with the official application letter for the Aceh GRANAT DPD Number 008 / DPD-GRANAT / ACEH / IX / 2025 which was submitted to the Acting Head of Dispora for the use of the Archery Field of the Banda Aceh National Hope Stadium.

Following up on the letter, Dispora Aceh issued Permit Number 400.5/2607 dated September 16, 2025 which gave a conditional permit, namely that the organizers must comply with the values of Islamic law and local wisdom of Aceh, pay off their retribution obligations according to Qanun Aceh, security and others.

As a form of response, the Aceh GRANAT DPD submitted a statement of commitment through his letter stating that he was ready to comply with all provisions as stated in the Aceh Dispora license.

"However, until the time of carrying out activities, administrative obligations as required cannot be fulfilled by the Aceh GRANATE," he said.
