Shoot Dead Perpetrators Of Police Post Destruction In OKU, 3 Police Dipatsus

JAKARTA - Members of the Satreskrim Polres Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), South Sumatra shot dead Padli (29), a resident of Kemelak Bamung Langit after destroying police posts at Simpang Ramayana and Unbara.

OKU Police Chief AKBP Endro Aribowo said the vandalism of the two police post units was caught on CCTV cameras around the location in the early hours of this morning at around 02.00 WIB.

In the surveillance camera footage, the perpetrator, who is suspected of having a mental disorder, threw stones at the state-owned facility.

"Based on CCTV footage, we immediately conducted an investigation and pocketed the identity of the perpetrator," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 28.

"When the arrest was made this morning at around 08.00 WIB, the perpetrator fought back by challenging the officers so that he had to be given a shot that hit the abdomen and left shoulder and left the world. Officers gave six warning shots, but the suspect threw stones at the officers," he explained.

According to the Police Chief, the shooting incident carried out by its members caused the perpetrator to die is currently still under internal investigation by the OKU Police.

However, he confirmed that three members of the OKU Police Satreskrim, namely the initials Aiptu DK, Bripda AS and Bripka JS who carried out the shooting, had been secured in a special place (patsus).

"The three members of the Criminal Investigation Unit concerned are being investigated intensively," he said.
