Trump Announces Toyota Invests IDR 166 Trillion In US Car Factory
US President Donald Trump announced automotive manufacturer Toyota will invest more than $10 billion over the next five years to build a car factory across the US.
"I was just told Prime Minister (Sanae Takaichi) Toyota will build a car factory across the United States, with a value of more than $10 billion," Trump said.
He conveyed this to American troops while visiting the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington at the Yokosuka naval base near Tokyo.
"We are happy," Trump said, thanking Japan for its "big investment" in the US.
He said Toyota's investment was part of a broader wave of money "flowing to the United States," an estimated $17 trillion flowing from around the world.
"I think by the time we finish our first year, we will get more than 20 or 21 trillion dollars into our country," Trump said.

As is known, 21 trillion dollars at the time of this news was broadcast equivalent to IDR 348,799 trillion.
Japanese automaker Toyota has not disclosed any details about the investment announcement.
Toyota has previously announced an investment of 88 million dollars (approximately IDR 1.4 trillion) to increase production of hybrid vehicles at its West Virginia plant, which will secure jobs for 2,000 workers at the facility.
Trump made the statement during a troop visit with Takaichi as part of his three-state tour in Asia.
The sale of US goods and services with Japan is estimated at 319.2 billion dollars (around Rp5,031 trillion) in 2024, according to US data.
Japan agreed to invest $550 billion in the US in exchange for a 15 percent base rate for almost all Japanese imports into the country, down from the 24 percent rate originally proposed by Trump.
