Bawaslu Chairperson Doesn't Question Reported To KPK: Please Just
JAKARTA - Chairman of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja did not question the report of the Democracy Lower Flow Movement (Gabdem) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding allegations of corruption that allegedly involved him.
"Just 'Yamonggo', but what is clear is that all processes have been carried out and this time it's a bit strange, but never mind, we don't question the strangeness and others," said Bagja as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 28.
According to him, the renovation of the building, which was alleged against his party, had been carried out well. He felt that there was nothing that violated the laws and regulations during the renovation.
Moreover, added Bagja, Bawaslu's financial report received an unqualified predicate (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Therefore, he questioned the purpose behind reporting the alleged corruption in the renovation of the building.
"Because in terms of reports, the report uses BPK data, right? Isn't this WTP, how to use BPK data, then [even though Bawaslu got the title] WTP? That's the question, it's also strange," he said.
Even so, Bagja said Gabdem's report was part of public scrutiny.
He also invited the public to look at the progress of the report objectively.
Bagja said that his party had not received a summons from the KPK as a continuation of the report in question.
"Nothing. How come you expect a summons, gituloh? Ha-ha-ha," he joked. "Later, the KPK can check at the BPK, it could be fellow state administrators," he added.

Previously, on October 21, 2025, the Democratic Undercurrent Movement or Gabdem reported allegations of corruption involving Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja.
The alleged corruption is related to the command center or command center project as well as the renovation of buildings A and B Bawaslu RI.
In its report, Gabdem highlighted the results of the BPK RI investigation which, according to them, said the two projects had the potential to cause state losses of Rp12.14 billion.
Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the KPK would follow up on Gabdem's report.
"From this initial information, of course the KPK conducted a review. Is the information valid? Then does the information really contain elements of alleged corruption or not," he said.
After that, continued Budi, the KPK will study and analyze whether the alleged corruption is under the authority of the anti-corruption agency or not.
