The Minister Of Manpower Ensures That The Regulation On The 2026 Minimum Wage Will Be Launched November 21, 2025
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower Yassierli revealed that his party is still making a formulation regarding the minimum wage stipulation for 2026. According to him, regulations are being prepared by having a dialogue with trade unions, employers and the National Wage Council.
"There are a lot of input from trade unions, labor barriers. We accept all of them. The National Wage Council has also finalized its regulations," Yassierli told media crews in Media Briefing at the Ministry of Manpower Building, Tuesday, October 28.
Yassierli also opens the opportunity to change the calculation formula for the 2026 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). He reasoned that the previous formulation was no longer relevant to the current conditions.
"The UMP progress, we are preparing regulations. It could change (the rules). We open up opportunities (to change the rules)," he continued.
He hopes that with this formulation, the amount of wages decided in accordance with the agreement between workers and employers.
"We hope that the formula will be able to overcome the current challenges related to the disparity of wages, this is what we are studying," he explained.

Regarding the date for the issuance of this regulation, Yassierli said it would be announced on November 21, which was preceded by the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower.
"Permenaker before November 21, we are targeting it. November 21 is the announcement of the province," continued Yassierli.
Yassierli also did not mention the projected UMP amount in 2026. He also ensured that this new regulation was not the same as previously issued through the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024, namely an increase in wages of 6.5 percent.
"No. The Permenaker only applies to 2025. There is more (new)," he said.
