Operational 26 Mines In West Java Stopped By KDM, Bahlil Admits He Doesn't Know
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia admitted that he was not aware of the operational closure of 26 mining companies C in West Java. This closure was carried out by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi.
"I don't know yet. I haven't read it yet," Bahlil told the media crew after attending Sarasehan 100 Economists, Tuesday, October 28.
Previously, Governor Deddy Mulyadi temporarily suspended mining activities in the Parung Panjang District, Rumpin District and Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency.
This termination is stated in a letter numbered 7920/ES.09/PEREK signed by Dedi. This letter states an order for the temporary suspension of mining business activities from September 26, 2025 to an indefinite time.
"You are asked to temporarily suspend mining business activities from September 26, 2025 until the fulfillment of the provisions as referred to at the number 2 (two) above and after submitting a written report accompanied by supporting evidence to the Governor of West Java c.q Head of the West Java Province Energy and Mineral Resources Service," the letter read.
