Wife Of Jordanian King Descendants Palestine Puji Trump: Can Really Pressure Israel
JAKARTA - The wife of King Jordan Abdullah II, Ratu Rania, condemned the slow failure of international countries to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
Queen Rania praised the administration of US President Donald Trump for successfully breaking into the deadlock.
"Trump is the first president in a long time to really pressure Israel," Queen Rania told BBC International, quoted by AN, Monday, October 27.
Queen Rania, who is of Palestinian descent, said international countries should be able to end Israel's annexation of Gaza more quickly.
"Do you know what it's like to be a parent over the last two years? Seeing your children suffering, hunger, shaking, and helpless to do anything, and knowing that the whole world is watching and doing nothing," said Queen Rania.
"That nightmare, every parent's nightmare, but that nightmare has become a daily reality for Palestinians over the past two years," he continued.
Queen Rania is optimistic that the two-state solution described by the international community towards the conflict in Gaza between Hamas and Israel can be realized.
However, on condition that the end of the war in the Palestinian territories must continue to be escorted by world countries.
"I'm not naive here. But I think, with the push of the international community, that's the only way," he said.
