At The Plenary Meeting Of The House Of Representatives, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Called The 2022 Rapbn Flexible And Responsive
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said the Draft State Budget (RAPBN) 2022 as a flexible and responsive financial instrument.
"We will continue to run this budget accountably and carefully," he said at the Plenary Meeting of the House of Representatives related to the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM PPKF) at the Jakarta Parliament Complex, Thursday, May 20.
According to the Minister of Finance, fiscal support is still needed in economic recovery efforts. One of the focuses is the field of health.
"Indonesia is one of the fastest countries in ensuring the supply of vaccines to achieve herd immunity," he said.
In the ministry's records, until mid-May 2021 the government has given 22 million vaccines to the public.
"We will continue to make efforts to accelerate the delivery of vaccines to boost confidence in the economic sector," he said.
As reported by VOI earlier, the government through the Ministry of Finance plans the 2022 State Budget with revenues of around Rp1,823 trillion. Meanwhile, the shopping sector is mentioned at Rp2,631 trillion.
From these estimates, it is realized that the budget deficit will be in the range of 800 trillion or equivalent to 4.5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
Meanwhile, in the State Budget 2021, the state revenue is targeted at Rp1,743 trillion, with spending of Rp2,750 trillion. This means that the budget deficit is recorded around Rp1,000 trillion or equivalent to 5.7 percent
"Fiscal instruments are still taking a leading role in the handling of pandemics this year and next year," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
