Bandung Police Arrest Motorcycle Gangroyok Satpam Places Of Fitness

Bandung City Police arrested five members of a motorcycle gang suspected of beating a security guard at a fitness center in the Batununggal area, Bandung City.

Bandung Police Chief Commissioner Budi Sartono said two of the five arrested perpetrators were minors, namely X (17), X (15), MAJ (20), RNF (21), and RIM (18).

"Alhamdulillah, we can be arrested immediately under 24 hours. We can secure five suspects," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 27.

Budi explained that the persecution started when five perpetrators felt offended because of the victim's gaze when their group passed by motorized vehicle convoys.

"This motorbike did not accept it because it felt seen by the victim so that the motorized group turned right and directly without any notification carried out the persecution of the security guard," he said.

The five perpetrators had encountered resistance from several people who felt their presence had disrupted activities from the fitness center. The perpetrators had fled from the scene.

"And the group fled and left when they got resistance. Then based on this, I ordered the Bandung Police Satreskrim and the team immediately investigated it," said Budi.

The Head of the Polrestabes revealed that based on the investigation, it was known that the perpetrators carried out persecution under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

For his actions, the five suspects were subject to Article 710 of the Criminal Code with a criminal threat of more than five years in prison.

"This is a serious matter, just because (the victim) saw directly carrying out the persecution. I don't think this should happen again in the city of Bandung, we have to keep the city of Bandung safe and conducive," said Budi.
