Kawasaki KLE500 Adventure Motorbike Launches For IDR 100 Million, Take A Peek At The Specifications
JAKARTA Kawasaki has officially introduced its newest medium adventure variant, KLE500, which is here to fill the gap between Versys-X 300 and Versys 650 in its line of products. This motorbike is priced at IDR 100 million.
In design, this motorbike is quite high and aggressive, with low forward fairings, sharp front lights, and large side wings typical of rally motors. This motorbike looks ready to be invited to explore the ground, mud, and rocky roads.
Reporting from Bikewale, Monday, October 27, this motorbike carries a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a capacity of 451 cc, the same as the one used in Ninja 500. Although there is no official figure related to energy and torque, its performance is estimated to reach around 50 horse power and maximum torque of 42 Nm.

In terms of chassis, KLE500 is designed to present cruising capabilities in various terrains. The motor is equipped with 21-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels, with a travel suspension of 210 mm up front and 200 mm behind.
The seat height reaches 858 mm, while the fuel tank capacity reaches 15.8 liters, providing a wide range for medium to long distance travel. Kawasaki said the driving position on KLE500 was inspired by enduro motors, with wide handlebars and a neutral footpeg position.
The design is presented to provide maximum comfort when driving both on asphalt roads and light offroads. Modern features are also embedded in this motorbike.
The standard variant comes with an LCD screen that can be connected to a smartphone, while the SE variant gets an update in the form of a 4.3-inch TFT screen, a higher windshield, skid plate, hand guard, and LED indicator lights.
For the United States market, the standard KLE500 ABS variant is priced at around US$6,599 or equivalent to Rp109.6 million, while the SE ABS version is sold for US$7,499 or around Rp124.7 million. The presence of KLE500 also marks the return of the legendary name that Kawasaki had used between 1991 and 2007 for the dual-sport model.
