Dedi Mulyadi Sets Flood And Landslides Emergency Alerts Throughout West Java

BANDUNG West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has declared an emergency alert status for floods, landslides, extreme weather, and abrasion throughout West Java for the period September 15, 2025 to April 30, 2026.

The determination is stated in the Governor's Decree Number 360/Kep.626-BPBD/2025, which at the same time instructs all regional heads in districts/cities to prepare disaster preparedness measures, including the handling budget.

"This emergency alert status includes floods, flash floods, extreme weather, extreme waves, abrasion, and landslides throughout West Java," said Dedi, Monday, October 27.

The West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has followed up on the instruction by holding a coordination meeting with district/city BPBD to ensure the readiness of personnel, equipment, and logistics to face the 2025-2026 rainy season.

West Java BPBD also appealed to the public to remain alert to potential hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, landslides, and strong winds, and actively monitor weather developments.

Meanwhile, BMKG Bandung Geophysics Station warned of the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in the next week in a number of areas of West Java.
