Government Prepares AI Cap Human Resources Towards Demographic Bonus 2035
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria emphasized the importance of human resource skills, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), in facing challenges in the future.
Because according to him, AI is an important technology that needs to be mastered because its adoption is increasing rapidly in line with the growing popularity of AI's generating platforms.
"It's a big homework for all of us to build capable human resources, who are ready to face new challenges in the world full of uncertainty," Nezar said in an official broadcast quoted Monday, October 27.
He also stated that Indonesia needs digital talents in the AI sector who are able to develop AI technology independently in accordance with the nation's culture.
"Negara yang berada di global north selalu menggunakan produk-produk yang dari luar, nilai-nilai yang ada disana ke mungkin tidak sejalan. Itulah kenapa kemandirian teknologi menjadi penting," tuturnya.
Nezar explained that Indonesia's productive workforce aged 16 to 65 years reached 70 percent demographics by 2035. Therefore, he emphasized the need for concrete steps for the younger generation to face the demographic bonus period.

Therefore, the government is currently implementing various priority programs to prepare future generations to realize a sovereign Indonesia according to Indonesia Gold's 2045 vision.
