2 Children Carried By The Ciliman River, Banten Found Dead

The Banten National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) finally found two children who were carried away by the current of the Ciliman River in a state of death.

"The two children are Haikal (9) and Habibi (9), a resident of Sukaresmi Pandeglang District," said Head of Banten Basarnas Al Amrad, quoted by Antara Pandeglang, Monday, October 27.

The joint SAR team consisted of Banten Basarnas, Pandeglang BPBD, Polairud, Pandeglang Police, Panimbang Koramil, Patia Police, Pandeglang BPBD, Tagana, PMI, Disaster Care Scout, FPRB, Boedak Saung Rescue, as well as support from the community and the families of the victims.

The victim was first found on Monday morning at 06.10 WIB on behalf of Haikal with a distance of about 4.5 kilometers from the scene (LKP).

Meanwhile, the discovery of the second victim, Habibi about 40 minutes later or at 07.50 WIB as far as 5 kilometers from LKP at coordinates 6°31'41.27"S 105°50'31.77"E.

The two victims were immediately evacuated to the Sukaresmi Perdana Health Center for a medical examination before finally being handed over to the family in Taraju Village, Karyasari Village, Pandeglang.

The incident of the two children who were carried away by the current of the Ciliman River, Saturday (25/10) at 15.20 WIB while playing on the riverbank using a boat bound on the banks of the Ciliman River.

While the two were engrossed in jumping from the boat into the water and getting back on, the boat's strap broke suddenly.

"With the discovery of all the victims, the SAR operation was declared complete and was officially proposed to be closed. All elements involved were returned to their respective units with thanks," he said.
