Range Rover Former Queen Elizabeth II Auctioned, The Price Is 7 Times The Normal Price
JAKARTA One unit of the 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8 which was previously driven personally by the late Queen Elizabeth II will be auctioned off by Iconic Auctioneers on Saturday, November 8, at the NEC Classic Motor Show in Birmingham, England.
Quoted from the CarBuzz page, Monday, October 27, the car with the Tonga Green Metallic color is predicted to sell between 50,000 and 60,000 pounds (around Rp1.1 billion to Rp1.6 billion. This figure far exceeds the price of the former Range Rover market L322 in 2007. usually in the UK only worth around Rp132 million.
Please note, the low price of the former Range Rover L322 generation in England is due to the high cost of maintenance. Range Rover L322 2007 is known as a "money pit" (money holes) due to chronic problems that often arise after the age of 1015 years. Owners are often surprised when service bills come along with taxes, insurance, and MOT (roadworthiness test in UK).

This Range Rover, which has an odometer of about 120,000 miles (193,000 km), has visual evidence of Queen Elizabeth II driving it at events such as the Royal Windsor Horse Show and Sandringham Estate. One of the unique details is the presence of a dog guard in the rear compartment, allegedly to house the Queen's favorite Corgi dogs.
After being released from the use of the kingdom, this car was sold to private owners and ended up in Spain, where the paint was damaged by exposure to the sun. The owner currently bought it as a restoration project and only discovered his royal legacy after seeing the stamp of Special Vehicles (SV) in the service book. The car has been restored, including the reassembly of the original Land Rover Special Vehicles' rear entertainment system and Call Phone.
"It is an honor to offer a vehicle so closely related to Queen Elizabeth II. L322 has become a modern British automotive icon, and this example is a unique opportunity to own a car that personally serves our late King," said Managing Director of Iconic Auctioneers Rob Hubbard.
Interestingly, this car has the same delivery date and chassis sequence as the Range Rover L322 of renowned automotive journalist Jeremy Clarkson, who is also Tonga Green Metallic and appears at the Clarkson's Farm show.
