Air Talk Encourages Awareness Of Clean Air Through The Jakarta Running Festival 2025

JAKARTA - Air talks (National Children's Air Plants) are back at the Jakarta Running Festival (JRF) 2025, on October 25 - 26, 2025 carrying out the 'Run for Clean Air' campaign as an invitation to the public, especially the runner community, to make running sports not only a fitness event, but also a tangible manifestation of concern for clean air and sustainable mobility in Jakarta.

In his participation this year, Air Talk highlighted the close connection between the air quality and the runner's performance, as well as encouraging a low lifestyle of emissions through active and clean mobility. This campaign is also in line with the MRT Free Rides initiative carried by JRF 2025 to reduce carbon emissions while at the same time facilitating the mobilization of event participants.

Interestingly, the air quality in Jakarta during the JRF 2025 implementation was quite good. On Saturday, October 25, the air quality was in the 'Good' category with PM 2.5 at number 12, while on Sunday, October 26, it was in the 'Moderate' category with PM 2.5 at number 28. Good air quality like this generally occurs during the wet/rain season compared to the dry season where air quality is classified as unhealthy with PM 2.5 indicators at 35.5 and above.

"Running is not just about reaching the finish line, but about how every step we can contribute to cleaner air," said Novita Natalia, Co-Founder of Air and runners who took part in JRF 2025 in Jakarta, Sunday, October 26.

Novita said that Air Talk participation at JRF 2025 is expected to encourage increased environmental awareness among sports activists, while at the same time fostering an understanding that an active lifestyle needs to be balanced with responsibility for air quality.

"Through the Run for Clean Air movement, we want to invite the public to see that simple decisions, such as choosing public transportation, walking, or cycling, can be part of a big solution for a healthier city," he added.

Salah satu Biru Voices Ambassador 2025, Adhitya Lesmana, yang juga merupakan runner Bicara Udara di ajang JRF 2025, turut membagikan pandangannya mengenai pentingan udara bersih bagi para runners.

"As runners, we really feel the impact of air quality on stamina and performance. Clean air makes the breath easier, the step lighter, and the running experience becomes more enjoyable. Through Run for Clean Air, we want to show that keeping clean air is not only an environmental issue, but also part of a healthy lifestyle," said Adhitya.

Since it first arrived at JRF in 2023, Air Talk has consistently brought the message that simple actions by runners, communities and families can make a real contribution to air quality. This year, the campaign is getting stronger with the presence of Blue Voices Ambassadors and Air Spokes runners who will wear Run for Clean Air-themed jerseys and carry campaign flags while running on festival routes.
