Ministry Of Manpower Expels 94 Foreigners In SEZ Sei Mangkei Because They Don't Have RPTKA
JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) expelled 94 Foreign Citizens (WNA) who worked in the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Simalungun, North Sumatra.
The expulsion of dozens of foreign workers was carried out because they did not have the Ratification of the Foreign Workers Use Plan (RPTKA).
Acting Director General of Supervision & K3 of the Ministry of Manpower Ismail Pakaya said the expulsion of 94 foreigners by Binwasnaker was carried out on Wednesday, October 22. They previously worked on Jalan Kelapa Sawit II No.1, Sei Mangkei, Bosar Maligas.
"The 94 foreigners were expelled from their work location in Simalungun because they did not have the ratification of the RPTKA according to the mandate of PP Number 34 of 2021 and Permenaker Number 08 of 2021 concerning the Use of Foreign Workers," said Ismail in an official statement, Sunday, October 26.
Separately, the Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Sunar Ministry of Manampiar Sinaga reminded all companies in Indonesia that use foreign workers to comply with the regulations and mechanisms set by the Indonesian government.

"RPTKA is a requirement that must be met by foreign workers in order to work in Indonesia," he said.
Sunardi also appealed to workers to people who are aware of the practice of using foreign workers that do not comply with the provisions, immediately report to the Regional Manpower Office or the Ministry of Manpower for law enforcement.
"Mr. Minister of Manpower Prof Yassierli often advises the ranks of the Ministry of Manpower regarding the importance of collaboration through the active role of the community in supervising the implementation of employment norms, including supervision of the use of Foreign Workers in Indonesia, and the government really needs the support of the wider community," said Sunardi.
